How to Play Lights Out
Lights Out gives you a five-by-five board containing amber lights. Tap any square to switch that light and its immediate neighbors above, below, left, and right. Diagonal lights do not change. Your goal is to make the entire board dark.
Every tap counts as one move, so pause to consider how a press will reshape the board. Lights near an edge affect fewer squares, while center lights can change five at once. There is no timer that ends the puzzle and no lives to lose.
Your score rewards both efficiency and speed. Work across the board systematically and avoid pressing the same square twice in one plan, since two presses cancel each other. If a layout stops feeling productive, use New Puzzle for a fresh, solvable challenge.
Turning off the final light completes the game and saves your best score on this device. Choose Play Again to receive another randomized puzzle and try to solve it with a cleaner, faster sequence.
