Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about how the arcade, local progress, lives, ads, and browser support work.
01How do lives work?+
Games that support lives start each session with three. Losing a life updates your local totals; puzzle games without lives can be restarted freely.
02Can I buy more lives?+
BrainBounce Arcade does not require life purchases. Start a new session or continue after the video prompt when it appears.
03When are video ads shown?+
An ad prompt may appear after 3 total life losses since the previous prompt. Ads never interrupt the middle of an active play state.
04Can I skip a video ad?+
The local ad experience enables skipping after five seconds. A production advertising provider may apply its own compliant controls.
05What personal data is collected?+
Guest progress is stored in your browser. The arcade core does not include third-party tracking credentials; review the deployed site's privacy notice for enabled services.
06Will guest progress be saved?+
Yes. Scores, coins, XP, favorites, achievements, and streak data are saved in localStorage on the current browser.
07What happens if I clear browser data?+
Local guest progress and life totals are removed. Account syncing can be added later, but the guest storage layer cannot recover cleared data.
08Can I play on a phone or tablet?+
Yes. The games are designed for modern mobile and desktop browsers, with touch-friendly controls where appropriate.
09Can I play offline?+
Previously loaded assets may remain available depending on browser caching, but reliable offline play requires a future service-worker installation.
10How are high scores saved?+
Each game's best score is stored in the local player profile. A lower score never replaces an existing personal best.
11How do favorites work?+
Favorite a game to add its ID to your profile. Selecting it again removes it, and the choice persists on this device.
12Is BrainBounce Arcade suitable for children?+
The games avoid graphic content and use simple controls, but parents should supervise internet access and review the site's advertising and privacy policies.
13Are keyboard controls supported?+
Core game controllers support pause and resume behavior, while individual games should expose documented keyboard and touch controls suited to their mechanics.
